Marathias Beach - Zakynthos
Marathias beach is one of Laganas bay beaches, set of the west side of the bay and only 23.0 kms away from the town of Zakynthos, regionally belonging to Keri municipality.
It is a very quiet beach, with not so many visitors due to its difficult approach.
It is a pebbles secluded beach, with deep crystal waters and can only be approached through downhill cliffs.
Further to the above difficulty it is also not recommended for young swimmers as the sea deepens suddenly. It is ideal though for spear gun fishing and experienced divers for snorkelling.
Sun-beds and umbrella s are available for rent and there is a parking space approx. 200 meters away. Two traditional tavernas are open daily and offer typical, tasteful Zakynthian dishes and fishes.
Marathias beach’s uniqueness is the combination of the mount with a scenic beach.
