What if I’d never Hired a Boat Before?

Don’t worry – you’ve seen hundreds of other people do it and so can you! (No licence is required for the rental speed boats up to 30hp.) When you go to pick up your boat, full instructions and safety advice will be given before you are allowed to go out on your own so that you have confidence to take the boat out for the day.

Where can we go?

When you pick up your boat, we will give you a map of the sea areas in which you are allowed to go. This will also show approximately how far it is between each bay and the major resorts along the way. Generally, for the smaller boats, Ipsos up to Kassiopi, whereas the larger powered boats have a greater range.

How to tie up the boat

I expect we’ve all sat in tavernas watching the motor boats come in to tie up at the jetty. Well, it’s not that difficult and with a little practice you will look very professional.

Basically, you slowly get to within two boat lengths of the jetty.

Throw out the anchor, put the boat into neutral and just glide towards the jetty.

Then your ‘co-pilot’ either throws the line to a helping hand on land or leaps out with the line to fasten it to the jetty.

Frequent Questions

Minimum rental period?

The minimum rental period for pre booking is boat is 3 days.

What will a third party insurance cover?

A third party insurance will cover accident, you do to other boats that are in the water the same time as you are. Most of the times it will also cover damage to the engine or the propeller.
Any other damages have to be paid for.

Can I have a boat for a few non continuous days?

This will depend on a few factors.
1. Your holiday span.
2. The number of days you are looking for.
3. The type of boat you are after.

In a real life a example,
– Client prebooks a boat for 3 days.
– Arrives and has the boat for the first day.
– On the same day, liases with the boat hire agent to see how the 2 days left can be spred through out his/her holiday.

Can I have more photos of the boats?

In order to provide a good quality service, we tend to work with almost every agent in the areas we specialize in. This way we can find a lot more available and different kind of boats.
That, however, makes photoshooting every single boat impractical.
Photos of the boats above are as a guide only.
Generally speaking, you should expect to have a similar boat.
Can we keep the boat for the night?

Agents pick up the boat at about 18.00, for cleaning, refuelling and taking it in for safe keeping.
They will bring back the boat first thing in the morning.
You may be able to keep the boat for the night as long as there is a good mooring spot near your property.
Please note though, that you are fully responsible for anything that could happen to the boat during the night.

Unfortunately, I Am not renting a property with Eos Travel, can I still rent a boat with you?

Of course. As long as you stay in an area we operate, that will not be a problem.
